    T. Richardi Woolvett In the Name of God Amen I Richard Woolvett of Blackemore in the County of Essex yeoman being somewhat indisposed in body but of sound & perfect minde & memory doe make & ordaine this my last will and Testament & principally I giue & commend my soule into the hands of Almighty God hopeing and assuredly beleiveing to haue full and free remission and pardon of all my sinns by and through the merits death and passion of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ My body I giue to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named

    My worldly estate & goods I dispose of as followeth Imprimis I doe giue & bequeath unto my nephew John Dunn & his heires All that my Customary Messuage or Tenement with the Barnes Stables Landes and appertenances thereunto belonging called Kemps conteyning three acres lying and being in Ingatestone in the said County of Essex & now in the tenure of John Salmon or his assignes Item I doe giue devise and bequeath vnto my nephew Joseph Springham sonn of my sister Mary Springham & his heaires All that Tenement called delmares alias Copmore alias Beggars Hill or by what other name or names with all the Crofts of land thereunto belonging conteyning by estimacion nine acres more or lesse holden of the Mannor of Ingatestone & now in the tenure of Robert Johnson vpon Condition neverthelesse That he the said Joseph Springham & his heires shall within three monthes next after my decease well and truly pay or cause to be paid vnto my nephew John Springham sonn of my sister Elizabeth Springham Forty poundes of lawfull mony of England And if it shall happen that the said Joseph Springham or his h eires doe and shall make default of payment of the said summe of Forty pounds to the said John Springham contrary to this my will That then it shall or may be lawful] to & for the said John Springham to enter into and upon the said Tenement lands & premisses giuen to the said Joseph Springham & his heires as aforesaid & the same to haue hold & enjoy vntill the said summe of Forty pounds be fully satisfied and paid Item I doe giue & bequeath vnto my deare and loveing wife Joane Woolvett All those two parcells of Land lying and being in Blackemore aforesaid called Saburies Feilds conteining six acres more or lesse To hold the same to the said Joane & h er assignes for and dureing the terme of her naturall life & after her decease my will is that they be and remaine to my right heires for ever

    Item I giue and bequeath vnto my sisters Mary Springham Sarah Watson Elizabeth Springham & Jane Turner Forty shillings apeece to be paid them at a months end after my decease

    Item I giue unto the poore of Blackmore aforesaid twenty shillings to be paid and distributed amongst them by the Churchwardens and Overseers of Blackmore All the rest of my goodes Chattelles household stuffe plate readi moneys billes bondes Leases Mortgages & other my personall estate whatsoever My debtes Legacies & funeral] expences being first paid & discharged I doe giue and bequeath unto the said Joane my wife whome I make sole Executrix of this my last will & testament hereby revokeing all former willes by me made

    In witnes whereof I haue hereunto sett my hand & seale the First day of September in the yeare of our Lord God One thousand six hundred Eighty and foure
