    • William was reported to be a big burly man. He was the Sarnia Citizen Band leader for years.

      William Charles served with the Royal Horse Artillery during WW1. While I don't have specifics of his service at this point, I do have his medals. He received the British War Medal and the Victory Medal but the one that stands out is the 1914 star with bar (aka the Mons Star). To be entitled to this medal, the recipient had to be in France at the very start of the war.
